vaimukhyaṃ yā ca tadālambanabhūtābdhātusvabhāvā klinnatā yā ca tatsahajā prītiḥ sa bhagavān akṣobhyo dveṣo māmakī bhogavyavasthāyāṃ dveṣaratir dveṣavajraś ca upāyavyavasthāyāṃ dvitīyam aṅgam tadālambanabhūtā gharṣaṇavaśād uṣṇatā tejodhātusvabhāvā yā ca tatsahajā prītiḥ sa bhagavān amitābho rāgaḥ pāṇḍarā bhogavyavasthāyāṃ rāgaratī rāgavajraś ca| upāyavyavasthāyāṃ sādhanākhyaṃ tṛtīyam aṅgam atyantāsaktijanitābhiyojyābhiyoktṛtvābhimānena sadṛśasuratasukhasaṃvedanena yā cittonnatir harṣaś ca sa bhagavān ratnasambhavo māno mado viśeṣamārgasaṃgṛhīto mudrayā veditavyaḥ| sa ca caitasikatvena rāgasāmānyena ca rāgavajra evāntarbhāvanīya iti nāsau pṛthak sādhanāṅgam iti| tad anu ca prajñopāyayor advayapratibhāsayor atyantabhāvanayodbhūtaparamānandayoḥ samarasībhūtamoha- dveṣarāgapracārayor viśuddhadharmadhātvālambanaṃ paramasuratavyāpārajñānaṃ sādhyābhimukhakarmalakṣaṇaṃ yat tan niṣṭhāmārgasaṃgṛhītaṃ tan mudrayā veditavyam| tatra ca yo vajramaṇināḍyāṃ bodhicittasya mahāsukhasahajasya prerako vāyudhātuś caladbodhicittasparśālambanaṃ ca yaj jñānaṃ sakalasurataśāstravihitavyāpārāṇām apravartakaṃ samyagjñānātmano vajrasyaiva sādhyābhimukhe karmaṇi pratītya prerakam anantaram eva phalābhinirvartakam| yac ca rāgadveṣamohādīnāṃ samarasaṃ svarūpavedanam antaḥsparśānubhavalakṣaṇaṃ paramānandasvabhāvaṃ yā ca tatsahajā prītiḥ sa yathāyogaṃ bhagavān amoghasiddhir īrṣyā kāmaḥ samayatārā| bhogavyavasthāyāṃ samayavajro vajraratiś ca| upāyavyavasthāyāṃ śamitarāgadveṣamohapracāratayātibahalatarasukhayogitayā phalāvyabhicāritayā ca mahāsādhanākhyaṃ caturtham aṅgaṃ tadanantaraṃ suviśuddhadharmadhātujñānaprāptinimittānāṃ śrīsamājādau sevopasādhanasādhanamahāsādhanalakṣaṇānāṃ prajñābhiṣeke yathāyogaṃ parirambhaprativedhavicāraṇājñānodayamudrayā sarvatathāgatair mudritānāṃ mahāsukhaikarasasya mahāvajradharasya dṛṣṭāntabhūtasya dārṣṭāntikasya ca saṃlakṣaṇaprāpti nimittabhūtānāṃ taddhetutayā caturṇāṃ sādhanānāṃ saṃlakṣaṇam iha veditavyam| tad anu kleśajñeyāvaraṇaviśuddheḥ sarvakarma viśuddhyati| viśuddhatvāc ca karmaṇo viśuddhaṃ phalam avāpyate| tad uktam‒ kleśavajrāvṛte śuddhe sarvaṃ karma viśuddhyati| sarvakarmaviśuddhyatvād viśuddhaṃ karmajaṃ phalam|| (GuSaTa 18.62) iti| ato dharmakāyalakṣaṇaṃ sādhyaṃ nirāvaraṇam anāsravam anapāyaṃ mahāsukham advayaṃ suviśuddhadharmadhātutajjñānarūpam| ādarśasamatāpratyavekṣaṇājñānātmakasambhogakāyāśrayaṃ abhiprāyaḥ| sasādhanam asādhanaṃ vā na dharmakāyamātraṃ lakṣyam, tāvanmātrasya mahāyāne ’sādhyatvāt, tāvanmātreṇa parārthāyogāt| kiṃ tarhi‒aparam api kāyadvayaṃ jñānacatuṣṭayasaṃgṛhītaṃ sādhyam| tathā hi pāramitānaye dharmadhātuviśuddhis tadantarbhūtaṃ ca dharmadhātujñānaṃ dharmakāyākhyaṃ pradhānaṃ sādhyam| tadāśrayaṃ ca sarvākārasarvārthapratibimbasvarūpam ādarśajñānam| sarvabuddhasamatāvabodhanaṃ samatājñānam| sarvākārādhigatasya ca sarvārthasya tathaiva paricchedakaṃ pratyavekṣaṇājñānam| etajjñānatrayasvabhāvaṃ sambhogakāyākhyaṃ phalam aparam| tathā sarvākārasarvajagadarthakriyākaraṇalakṣaṇaṃ kṛtyānuṣṭhānajñānaṃ nirmāṇakāyākhyaṃ phalam| tato mantranaye ’pi yathāsamayaṃ yathātantraṃ suviśuddhadharmadhāturūpavajradharasvabhāvaṃ suviśuddhatajjñānarūpākṣobhyātmakaṃ ca dharmakāyākhyaṃ pradhānaṃ sarvatathāgatasamitābhir mudrābhir yathāsaṃketaṃ lakṣaṇīyam iti| ataḥ prajñābhiṣekakāle vajramaṇiśikharam ārohati bodhicitte tatraiva deśe yathopadeśato dvitīyapakṣoktena nyāyena sthirīkṛte bodhicitte tatsahajabhūtaṃ yat svaparapratibhāsabhedarahitaṃ paramamahāsukhamātram advayaṃ pratyastamitasarvavyāpāraṃ vāgvikalpātikrāntarūpaṃ svasaṃvedanaikaniṣṭhaṃ mānasam ākāśasaṃkāśaṃ vedanam anubhūyate| tad dharmakāyasya lakṣaṇam| tad uktam‒ yāvan na kurute yogī bodhicittavisarjanam| tāvat prāpnoty avicchinnaṃ kim apy ānandajaṃ sukham|| (Guhyasiddhi 8.36cd--37ab) yat tu vajrāntaścaladbodhicittasparśasamudbhūtam adeśastham api pratiniyatadeśam ivālambanavaśād bahirmukhaṃ sukhākāraṃ bodhicittasambhogajñānaṃ saṃvedyate tat sambhogakāyasya lakṣaṇam| yat tu prajñākamalodaraspharitasya tadbodhicittasambhogena vihitatatparitoṣasya vajramaṇinā saṃvedanaṃ nirmāṇakāyasya lakṣaṇam| tad evaṃ kāyatrayaṃ yathābhisamayaṃ mudrayābhilakṣya sthirīkṛtya ca yathopadeśaṃ yathābhisamayaṃ devatākāramudrayā mantrākāramudrayā maulena sahajayogena taduttarabhuvā dvitīyena cākāreṇa samayasahitaṃ bhāvayataḥ sukhataram āśutaraṃ ca kāyatrayapratilambho bhavatīti tṛtīyapakṣavādino manyante|| || yoginītantre tu hevajrādau kāyatrayam eva sādhyaṃ tad eva prajñābhiṣekakāle lakṣayituṃ nyāyyam| prādhānyāt tu mahāsukhākāraṃ sahajarūpaṃ dharmakāyamātraṃ lakṣaṇīyam ity eke|| tad eva vicitrādisādhanasahitaṃ sasādhanaṃ lakṣaṇīyam ity apare|| yathāsamayaṃ sarvatathāgatasamitamudrātattvānusāreṇa kāyadvayam eva vā dharmasambhogākhyaṃ lakṣaṇīyam ity apare| tathā hi yat tan nirākāram ākāśasaṃkāśaṃ mahāsukhamātrapratibhāsaṃ sātasaṃvedanaṃ tad yoginīcakra- rūpasya dharmakāyasya saṃlakṣaṇam| yat tu kundendusaṃkāśasya tatsahajasya bodhicittasya saṃvedanaṃ tat na mahāsukhaṃ sādhyam aśāntatvāt, sādhyatvenātraiva hevajratantre dūṣitatvāc ca| yad uktam‒ tasmāt saukhyaṃ na tattvākhyaṃ mahābhūtaṃ yataḥ sukham|| (HeTa I.x.40cd) iti| pāramitānaye ca samayamudrāsaṃyuktaḥ kṛtakṛtyatālakṣaṇāṃ paramanirvṛtiṃ praśamamātraikarasāṃ saṃlakṣayet| tad uktaṃ tantre‒ viramānte vyavasthitam| (Guhyasiddhi 3.8b (?)) iti kecid ācāryāḥ| tan na yuktam ity anye| tathā hi praśamaikarasaṃ mahāsukham eva sarvatra mahāyāne sādhyaṃ prakāśavat sukhasyāpy anāvaraṇacittaprakṛtitvāt| tathā hi yad yasyābādhitaṃ rūpaṃ tasya sā prakṛtiḥ| tadyathā prakāśalakṣaṇasya cittasya prakāśākāro ’bādhitaṃ ca rūpam anāsravacittasya sukhākāra ity etāvanmātranimittatvāt prakṛtitvavyavasthāyās tasmin sati yadi sa na bhaved anyatrāpi na syān nimittāviśeṣāt| nanv abādhitatvam asiddham, nīlākāravat sukhākārasyāpy ekānekaviyogena bādhyamānatvāt| tathā hi yathāyaṃ nīlākāro deśavitānena prakāśate tathā sukhākāro ’pi| yato grīṣmātapasaṃtaptasya yāvanty aṅgāny apsu majjanti tāvatsv eva sukham upalabhyata iti| tan na yuktam| tatra hy antaḥspraṣṭavyaviśeṣasya sparśajñānālambanasya deśavitānena prakāśo na sukhasyānugrāhakākāramātralakṣaṇatvāt| tatra caikānekavicārāyogāt| tasmāt prakāśākāravat sukhākāro ’py anāsravasya cittasya prakṛtir iti na tasmin sati tasyāpāyaḥ| na ca cittābhāva eva sādhyaś cittābhāvasyāpy asaṃvedanaviṣayatvenāpramāṇatvāt parārthābhāvaprasakter āgamabādhitatvāc ceti| na ca sukhākāra ity evāpraśamarūpatā| tatrānāsravasukhe sarvakleśopakleśatadvāsanānām anuṣaṅgābhāvata iti| na ca pāramitānaye ’pi praśamaikarasaṃ sukhākārarahitaṃ dharmakāyākhyaṃ sādhyaṃ kiṃ tu virāgavineyānāṃ yatra sukhaṃ tatra rāgo ’nuśeta iti bhayam utpadyata iti bhagavatā sukhākāraṃ saṃgopya praśamaikarasamadvayaṃ prakāśamātraṃ prajñāpāramitālakṣaṇaṃ sādhyaṃ darśitam| mantranaye tu mahārāgavineyaṃ lokam avalokyādvayaṃ prakāśamātraṃ praśamaikarasam ākāśasaṃkāśam aprakāśyaṃ paramamahāsukhākāram eva sādhyaṃ samprakāśitam iti na kaścid virodhaḥ| kiṃ ca pāramitānaye ’py āstāṃ tāvad buddhabhūmau nirāvaraṇāyām atimahat praśamamahāsukham| bodhisattvabhūmāv evāṣṭamyāṃ mahad idam ucyate| tad uktam‒ praśāntam acalaṃ śreṣṭhaṃ vaśavarti samāsamam| nirvikalpasukhaṃ tasmād bodhisattvo ’dhigacchati|| (Avikalpapraveśadhāraṇī) iti| yad apy uktaṃ hevajra eva sukhasya sādhyatvaṃ dūṣitam iti tad apy ayuktam| na hi tatrānāsravasyākāśasaṃkāśasya mahāsukhasya sādhyatvaṃ nirākṛtam| kiṃ tarhi| dṛṣṭāntasukhasya sāsravasya sāpāyasya sādhyatvaśaṅkā kasyacit syād ity āśaṅkya tan nirākṛtam| yad apy uktaṃ viramānte vyavasthitam iti pāṭhāt tatraiva kṛtakṛtyatā paramanirvṛtilakṣaṇā lakṣaṇīyā na mahāsukham iti tad apy ayuktaṃ viramānta iti tatraiva bahuvrīhisamāsāt| yad api sahajānandaṃ tu śeṣataḥ (HeTa I.viii.32d) ity uktaṃ tad api śeṣataḥ pāriśeṣyāt trayāṇām anupayuktatvāt tad eva bhāvyam iti boddhavyam| kiṃ ca viramānte khasamaṃ praśamaikarasam advayaṃ nirjalpaṃ nirākāṅkṣaṃ rāgavirāgarahitaṃ lakṣaṇīyam iti matam| tac ca na sambhāvyate| yatas tasyām avasthāyāṃ nādvayaṃ jñānaṃ vidyate| prajñopāyayor vicitraviṣayapratibhāsanāt| nāpi nirjalpam anubhūtānekārthavikalpanāt| nāpi rāgavirāgarahitam anupacitadhātor virāgasambhavād upacitadhātoḥ punā rāgasambhavāt| nāpi nirākāṅkṣaṃ tasyaiva punaḥ suratābhilāṣāt| cakṣurādīnimīlanena prayatnato vikalpaparihāreṇa ca bhedapratibhāsāpagame mudropayogo niḥphalaḥ syāt| anyathaiva tatsiddheḥ| na vinā prajñāravindasambhogaṃ paramanirvṛtirūpā kṛtakṛtyatā sampadyata iti cet| na bhojanādyaṅgasnānādibhir api tādṛkkṛtakṛtyatotpatteḥ| alam ativistareṇeti| āha ca‒ tat sādhyaṃ yoginītantre sahajākhyaṃ mahāsukham| paramānte bhavel lakṣyaṃ viramādau ca yatnataḥ|| iti| nanu śrīsamājādau yogatantre hevajrādau ca yoginītantre kiyanto ’bhiṣekā abhipretāḥ| tatra kecid āhuḥ‒śrīsamāje trayo ’bhiṣekāḥ paṭhyante| abhiṣekaṃ tridhā bhinnam asmiṃs tantre prakāśitam| (GuSaTa 18.113ab) iti vacanāt kāyavākcittābhiṣecanāc ceti| kāyavākcittabhedena śrīsamāje trayaḥ punaḥ| sekāḥ saṃvarṇitā nāthaiś caturtho nāma neṣyate|| caturthaṃ tat punas tatheti kathaṃ nīyata iti cet‒ucyate‒nānenābhiṣekādyo bhaṇyate| kiṃ tarhi| tantrābhisyandanaṃ kriyate| tathā hy uktaṃ tantre‒ sevāsādhanaṃ prathamaṃ dvitīyam upasādhanam| sādhanaṃ tu tṛtīyaṃ vai mahāsādhana caturthakam|| (GuSaTa 18.136) iti| tatrāyam arthaḥ| yad etat prajñājñānaṃ tad eva caturthaṃ mahāsādhanam ity arthaḥ| tenaiva mahāvajradharapadaprāpteḥ| idānīṃ tatpadasya lakṣaṇatvāt tad eva prajñājñānaṃ caturthaṃ caturthaśabdavācyaṃ mahāsādhanam ity arthaḥ|| abhiṣeke tadabhidhānasya ka upayoga iti cet‒prajñāsaṃketenābhiṣekopayogavarṇanam iti manyante| anye tu sudhiyo ’nyathā vyācakṣate| prathamaṃ kalaśābhiṣekaṃ dvitīyaṃ guhyam ucyate| prajñājñānaṃ tṛtīyam (GuSaTa 18.113c-e (?)) iti vacanāt| anyatantraprasiddhasya mālodakamukuṭāder abhiṣekasyābhāvaḥ prasajyate, viśeṣoktyā sāmānyabādhanāt| tadarthaṃ bhagavān āha‒tṛtīyād yad anyat tantrāntaraprasiddham abhiṣekāntaraṃ tac caturtham| tad yathānyatantreṣu tathaivātra tantre veditavyam| viśeṣābhāvāt punar atra noktam iti bhāvaḥ|| anye tu caturtham abhiṣekaṃ pṛthag eva manyante| tathā hi yathaiva prajñājñānakāle mahāsukham advayam anubhūtaṃ tathaiva tad eva lakṣyalakṣaṇabhāvena yathopadeśaṃ guruṇā vacasā pratipādyamānaṃ niścayaviṣayatāṃ gacchac caturthāb- hiṣeko bhavatīti cittasyaiva niścayāniścayarūpatayā dvividham abhiṣekaṃ manyante| tad uktam‒ dattvābhiṣekaṃ vidhibhir yathoktaiḥ śiṣyādhimuktiṃ manasā samīkṣya| udāragambhīranayādhimukter vācaiva dadyād abhiṣekaratnam|| (Sampuṭodbhavatantra 2.1.62 = Prajñopāyaviniścayasiddhi 3.38) iti| yady evaṃ kalaśaguhyayor api vacasā pratipādanaṃ yat tad abhiṣekāntaraṃ syāt| na, tayoḥ prāg eva niścitatvāt, niścitāniścitarūpatvena bhedābhāvāt, aparasya sekāntarasya tantre pāṭhābhāvāt, sampradāyābhāvāc ceti manyante| yoginītantre tu hevajrādau kecid ācāryās trividham abhiṣekaṃ manyante| caturthaṃ tat punas tatheti tṛtīyād yad anyat tattvasaṃgrahādyabhihitaṃ mālodakādikam abhiṣekāntaraṃ tasya saṃgrahaṃ varṇayanti| vajrakulapaṭhita etac caturthadharmābhiṣekaṃ prajñājñānābhiṣeka evādhimokṣato yojayanti| yat prajñayā saha hasitādikaṃ sarvatathāgatādipūjārūpam ācāryakarmalakṣaṇatvāt sa ācāryābhiṣekaḥ| yac ca prajñāyāḥ sapremāravindavīkṣaṇaṃ tadguhyāśrayatvād guhyābhiṣekaḥ| yā ca prajñāṅgāvāptiḥ sa prajñāśrayatvāt prajñābhiṣekaḥ| yat punar dvayos tantraṇād bhavaṃ paramatattvasamupalakṣakam advayajñānaṃ tac caturtham iti manyante| tad uktam‒ hasitaśuddhyā tv ācārya īkṣaṇā guhyakas tathā| prajñā pāṇyāvāptau ca tat punar dvandvatantrakaḥ|| (HeTa II.iii.11) iti| anye caturthaṃ pṛthag evābhiṣekaṃ manyante| prathame paṭale hevajre sarveṣāṃ caturṇām eva pāṭhāt| kvacid api mukhādyasambhave ’dhimokṣayogāt| tasmāc cittābhiṣekasyaiva dvidhābhedāc caturthābhiṣeko ’tra draṣṭavyaḥ| tathā hi prajñāṅgasaṅge sati maṇyagragate bodhicitte bodhicittasahajaṃ mahāsukhaṃ sarvendriyavṛttibādhanam adeśam apy ālambanavaśāt pratiniyatadeśavṛttīva pāramārthikasahajadṛṣṭāntarūpaṃ dṛṣṭāntasahajaṃ yad anubhūyate tad upadeśato ’bhyāsād yantrākarṣaṇādinā vāyuvijayena vā yathāśakti sthirīkṛtya lakṣaṇīyam| sthirīkṛtasyāsya sarvāṅgapratyaṅgavyāpanaṃ sarvāṅgapratyaṅgavyāpinaś cāsya krameṇābhyāsavaśāt sakalasthiracalabhāvavyāpanaṃ samāhitena cetasā tasyaiva tanmayīkaraṇam| tanmayīkṛtasya ca viśvasya tadanyarūpapratibhāsavirodhinā tenaiva sahajamahāsukhena gurūpadeśataḥ punaḥ punar abhyarthanaṃ kāryam iti siddhāntaḥ| tatra prajñāṅgasaṅge sahajamahāsukhasya yat sthirīkṛtya lakṣaṇaṃ tat prajñāṅgāśrayatvāc cetasaḥ prajñājñānābhiṣeka ity ucyate| yat punaḥ sthirīkṛtasya sahajamahāsukhasya yathāśakti samāhitena manasā sarvāṅgapratyaṅgavyāpanaṃ viśvavyāpanaṃ ca viśvasya ca tanmayīkaraṇaṃ tat prajñājñānavad advayam ajalpaṃ mahāsukhamātrapratibhāsam ataḥ so ’pi cetasa evābhiṣekaś caturthaṃ tat punas tathety anena nirdiṣṭo veditavya iti manyante| yādṛśaś cāyaṃ sahajamahāsukhayogo yādṛśaś cāsya samayo yathā cāyaṃ bhāvanīyaḥ sa sarvaḥ sahajasādhane hevajrād uddhṛte ’smadgurubhiḥ sphuṭam abhihita iti neha pratanyata iti| idaṃ ca sarvaṃ samāhitena guruṇā śiṣyasya prajñājñānābhiṣekakāle tādṛśīm avasthāṃ saṃketena samupalabhyedaṃ jñānaṃ mahāsūkṣmam ityādigāthāpāṭhena tattvaṃ pratipādanīyam ity āmnāyaḥ|| prajñājñānābhiṣekasya prabhedā lakṣyalakṣaṇāḥ| trayaḥ proktā nirūpyātra yukto grāhyas tu paṇḍitaiḥ|| śrīsamāje sphuṭaṃ tāvad eṣā sekavyavasthitiḥ| tantrāntare ’nusartavyā mudrātattvānusārataḥ|| śrīsamāje ’tha hevajre proktā bhedās turīyake| abhiṣeke tathaivātra yukto grāhyo manīṣibhiḥ|| tantradvayānusāreṇa tattantrasamayair api| uktaṃ sarvaṃ tu vijñeyaṃ yoginīyogatantrayoḥ|| caturthasya tu ye bhedā yuktyāgamabahiḥkṛtāḥ| dūṣitās te na saṃlikhya mayā vistarabhīruṇā|| teṣu teṣu pradeśeṣu tān samīkṣya vipaścitā| dātavyaṃ dūṣaṇaṃ tatra yuktyāgamasamanvitam|| abhidadhatā tattvam idaṃ puṇyaṃ yad avāpi paramasekasya| jinasujayaśrīguptaṃ jagad idam akhilaṃ tato bhavatāt||
