Edition and Translation of Rāmapāla’s Sekanirdeśapañjikā
Harunaga Isaacson and Francesco Sferra were engaged in working on the Sekanirdeśapañjikā, a never before published commentary by Rāmapāla on the Sekanirdeśa (also called Sekanirdeśa) of his teacher Advayavajra (Maitreya/Maitrīpa).
A critical edition of the Sanskrit text of this important but difficult work, transmitted in two manuscripts, has been prepared, together with a critical edition of the Tibetan translation, and an annotated English translation. The Sekanirdeśa itself has also been newly edited.
The resulting monograph is published as volume 2 of Manuscripta Buddhica, a new subseries of the Serie Orientale Roma:
Isaacson, Harunaga and Francesco Sferra (With Contributions by Klaus-Dieter Mathes and Marco Passavanti). 2015.
